signs of toxicity occur.  No known antidote.  Provide

symptomatic/supportive care as necessary.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with copious amounts of water.  Seek medical attention

if irritation persists or signs of toxicity occur.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove from source of exposure.  Flush with copious amounts

of water.  Seek medical attention if irritation persists or

signs of toxicity occur.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medial attention if signs of toxicity occur.  No known

antidote.  Provide symptomatic/supportive care as necessary.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use appropriate medium for underlying cause of fire (eg

foam, powder, CO2)

Product arising from burning: Oxides of nitrogen, carbon and hydrogen.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear full self-contained breathing apparatus and protective

clothing.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: All clean-up workers should wear protective clothing as

detailed in section 2.3.1.  Ventilate area around the

spillage.  Contain spill.  Avoid creation of dust.  Scoop up

spill.  Place in labelled containers ready for destruction.

Handling and storage

Handling: Local exhaust ventilation system for controlling dust at the

source. Handlers should wear rubber gloves, and full-face

respirator. Wear full-body tyvek coverings with hood and

shoe covers during dusty operations.  Use air purifying

respirator with high efficiency particulate filter,

conforming to British Standard 4555 air purifying

respirator.  Wash hands and face after handling.
