Additional information

The critical effect of N, N-dimethylisopropylamine in humans is like for the other tertiary amines, the appearance of visual disturbances (blue haze). 36 out of 47 workers of a foundry (Wolf et al., 1988), that were exposed to a maximal concentration of 3.6 ppm of N, N-dimethylisopropylamine, reported visual disturbances retrospectively. However, a NOEL is not deducible from this study. The structural analogue  N, N-dimethylethylamine (Stälbom et al., 1991; Warren and Selchan, 1988) induced also visual disturbances in similar concentrations.
