Description of key information
Additional information
CEL-2021P is a colourless, odourless liquid. Celloxide 2021P does not have a true melting point as it undergoes softening to a viscous liquid in the range -35 to -30°C. Celloxide 2021P decomposes on heating without boiling. The relative density of Celloxide 2021P was recorded to be 1.172. The vapour pressure of Cycloalipliatic Epoxide Resin ERL-4221 is 2 x 10^-3 Pa (1 x 10^-5 torr) at 25oC.
Celloxide 2021P, has a mean n - octanol-water partition coefficient of 22 (logloPOw 1.34) anti therefore will not be expected to bioconcentrate significantly in aquatic or terrestrial organisms.
The solubility of Cycloaliphatic Epoxide Resin ERL-4221 in deionised water was considered to be within the range 10600 to 17360 mg l-1 with a 0 to 18 day overall mean value of 13850 mg l-1 and a standard deviation 1630 mg l-1.
The surface tension of Celloxide 2021P was recorded to be 61.00 mN/m. The flashpoint of the test substance was measured twice following the Cleveland Closed Cup method. The average flashpoint is 202 ℃. The minimum ignition point of 7-oxabicyclo[4.1.0]hept-3-ylmethyl 7-oxabicyclo[4.1.0]heptane-3-carboxylate at 1013 hPa is 375°C. Celloxide 2021P was not considered to be explosive. Celloxide 2021P was not considered capable of possessing oxidising properties. The viscosity of the test substance was measured using the TVE-22H Viscometer. The viscosity of CEL2021P is 241mPa s(at 25℃). The viscosity of the test substance was measured using the Viscometer TV-20 (Toki Sangyo). The viscosity of CEL2021P is 0.01 Pa.s (at 40℃).
The test material is not classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 or Directive 67/548/EEC.
