Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on the primary information sourced from the Beilstein database, the Hawley's Condensed Chemical Dictionary (12th Edition) and the NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), chlorotrifluoroethylene was reported to boil in the range from -26.2°C to -26.8°C at 760 Torr (corresponding to 101 325Pa)

Additional information

Information regarding the boiling point of chlorotrifluoroethylene was sourced from three separate sources which are known to contain peer-reviewed data of Klimisch-2 reliability: The Beilstein database, the Hawley's Condensed Chemical Dictionary (12th Edition) and the NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), which state that the substance boils in the range from -26.2°C to -31°C.

The atmospheric pressure, under which the boiling point data has measured, is not always reported.
