Description of key information

Dihydrogen hexafluorotitanate is an aqueous solution and does not contain any combustible/explosive constituents whatsoever. It is void of any chemical structures commonly associated with explosive properties, such as metal peroxides, peroxo-acid-anions, azides, and halogen oxides. Further, it is noted that despite long-term industrial use of the substance, it is not classified for explosive properties according to UN transport regulations (cf. section 7.11 Column 2 Annex VII of regulation (EC) 1907/2006). Experimental testing for explosiveness is not required.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Dihydrogen hexafluorotitanate is an aqueous solution and does not contain any combustible/explosive constituents whatsoever. It is void of any chemical structures commonly associated with explosive properties, such as metal peroxides, peroxo-acid-anions, azides, and halogen oxides. Further, it is noted that despite long-term industrial use of the substance, it is not classified for explosive properties according to UN transport regulations (cf. section 7.11 Column 2 Annex VII of regulation (EC) 1907/2006). Experimental testing for explosiveness is not required and hazard classification dose not apply.
