Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The CMC is determined to 50 mg/L at 23 °C. Also, the surface tension at 0.5 g/L has been determined to 36 mN/m. However, it should be noted that although the sample seemed homogeneous, it was not completely water soluble. Therefore, solid particles are likely to have a contribution on the CMC value. Hence, it is important to realize that not all of the surfactant was present as monomers during the CMC determination. The CMC measurements were performed in accordance with DIN 53914 “Determining the surface tension of surfactants” which conforms in substance to ISO 304:1985. Deviations from the standard include cleaning procedures and calibration and are fully reported in the method section. It should be noted that dot is used throughout the laboratory report instead of a comma as a decimal marker which deviates from DIN 53914 “Determining the surface tension of surfactants”.
