Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Manufacturer/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.
Handling:
Safety general precautions: Use the usual precautions for the handling of organic powder. Prevent the accumulation of electrostatic discarge.
Precautionary methods: Ensure adequete ventilation.
Specific precautions against explosions and fires: Avoid the accumulation of electronic discharge. Prevent the formation of dust. Keep the product away from heat. Avoid the contact with skin and eyes, protect the respiratory tract.
Safety precautions for protection of personell: Avoid to wear contaminated clothes. Personal hygene is important. Wash immediately with plenty water after using the product. Eating, drinking and smoking prohibited during handling of the product.
Safety precautions to protect the environment: Prevent the product from spreading and leaking into water courses and drainage. Collect spillage in suitable and tightly sealed containers. In case of accidental spreading and leaking into water courses and drainage please inform the comptent authorities according to the normatives in force. Please follow the handling precautions described above.
Storage:
Store the product in the original containers in a dry and cool place. Prevent the accumulation of electrostatic discharge. Keep away from heat and ignition sparks.Keep the product containers tightly closed.
Prevent the contact with incompatible materials.
Materials used for containing the product: antistatic bags/ drums kraft.
