Thermal sensitivity

In all six tests, the tubes were recovered unchanged.

Mechanical sensitivity (shock)

In all six tests there was no evidence of ignition, explosion, or decomposition.

Interpretation of results:
non explosive
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
Under the conditions of this study DPGDB is not explosive.
Executive summary:

A package of testing, including a determination of the explosive properties, was conducted to determine the physico-chemical properties of the test material DPGDB. The determination of the explosive properties was conducted according to EC test guidelines, and in compliance with GLP.

The test material was tested for thermal sensitivity and for mechanical sensitivity.

DPGDB was determined not to be explosive in any of the tests employed.

Description of key information

DPGDB was determined not to be explosive in any of the tests realised according to EC test guidelines (HLS 1999, VCL249/973399).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

DPGDB was determined not to be explosive and is therefore not classified for explosivity.
