Additional information

2,2-bis[[(1-oxopentyl) oxy]methyl]propane-1,3-diyl divalerate (CAS-No. 15834-04-5) has potential to bioaccumulate due to their physico-chemical properties (log kow > 3). However, as the substance is readily biodegradable, no chronic exposure of aquatic organisms is expected. Should the substance be taken up by fish, Fatty acid esters are metabolised in Fatty acids and alcohols. A QSAR calculation (BCFBAF v3.00) reveals a moderate bioaccumulation potential (550 L/kg regression based estimate). Therefore, in accordance with Annex XIII the substance is not bioaccumulative.
