Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Surface tension: 58.1 mN/m at 19.6 °C ± 0.5 °C. Because of the poor solubility at 20°C, a 90% saturated solution was used.

Additional information

Substances showing a surface tension lower than 60 mN/m should be regarded as being surface-active. However, analysis of the 90% saturated solution found no test item detected above the limit of detection. It is possible that the test item had undergone reaction to the corresponding acid during the saturation period. Therefore, it was concluded that the test item and/or degradation products were considered to be surface-active.
