Description of key information

Flammability upon ignition is not applicable.
The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases in contact with water.
The substance is not a self-heating substance or mixture.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the flammability study does not need to be conducted as the flammability is deduced from flash point and boiling point. The test substance has a flash point of 81 °C (please refer to IUCLID section 4.11).

Based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as self-heating as the substance is a liquid.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

The available data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation 1272/2008. As a result the substance is not considered to be classified for flammable gases, liquids and solids, aerosols, self heating and pyrophoric properties and as emitting flammable gases in contact with water under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EU) No 2017/776.
