Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Bring injured person into fresh air and keep person calm

under observation. If uncomfortable: Seek hospital.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15

minutes. Remove any contact lenses, and open eyelids widely.

Seek medical attention, if irritation persists.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash skin with water and soap.

Seek medical attention in case of signs of toxic effects.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Immediately rinse mouth and drink 1-2 glasses of water. Keep

person under observation. If uncomfortable: Seek hospital.

Provoke vomiting, providing the injured is conscious.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Extinguish with carbon dioxide or dry powder.

Product arising from burning: Very toxic vapours may be formed (e.g. CO, CO2, NOx, HCN, F)

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full breathing protection, gloves, goggles.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhalation of dust.

Use personal protection (e.g. gloves, safety goggles and

breating apparatus). Do not discharge into drains, water

courses or onto the ground.

Isolate the spillage. Use vacuum cleaner. If this is not

possible, humidify the dust with very little water and

transfer spillage to closed containers.

Dispose-off waste according to national, state and local

regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Good industrial hygiene standard shall be maintained.

Inhalation of dust and contact with skin and eyes should be

avoided. Work practice should minimise contact. Spreading of

dust should be avoided. Work practice should minimise

contact.

Adequate ventilation is required. Inhalation of dust should

be minimized. In case of inadequate ventilation and work of

brief duration, suitable respiratory equipment should be

used (particle filter, type P1). Protective gloves and

goggles/face shield should be used. Special working clothing

should be used. Hands should be washed after handling.

Storage: Lu 18-027-S(1)should be stored in closed original containers

in a dry place.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Double polyethylene bags in fiber drums. Packing shall be in

accordance with various conventions (ADR, RID, IMDG,

Baltic Sea, IATA/ICAO) applicable to transportation method.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Oxidizing reagents should be avoided.

Chemical reaction with water: Stable

Dust explosion: There is a general risk of dust explosion for dusty organic

materials. The particle size distribution of Lu

18-027-S(1)is visually characterised by being inhomogeneous,

containing fine as well as coarser particles.

Dust explosion determined by test: N
