The toxicity of the test item Sulfosuccinate of Lanolin Alcohol to activated sludge was assessed in a respiration inhibition study according to:
EU Commission Directive EC 440/2008, C.11.
Since in the preliminary test any significant effect was shown at the highest tested concentration of active ingredient in the preliminary test, the final test was carried out at the only nominal active ingredient concentration of 1800.0 mg/L, corresponding to 6000.0 mg/L as test item.
In addition two untreated negative controls were incubated under the same conditions.
Based on the results, the EC50 value for Sulfosuccinate of Lanolin Alcohol was assessed to be higher than 1800.0 mg/L as active ingredient, corresponding to 6000.0 mg/L of test item and the NOEC value was calculated as equal to the nominal active ingredient concentration of 1800.0 mg/L, corresponding to 6000.0 mg/L as test item.
