Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Several studies with structurally related materials (e.g. linear C6-C10 and C8 -C10 phthalate, or linear C11 phthalate) are available. The data demonstrate that the material can be regarded as readily biodegradable in standard biodegradation tests.

In CO2 -evolution test the test materials reached a biodegradation rate of 76% or 87% after 28 days, the 10 day window criterion was passed. In another mod. Sturm test with non-adapted sludge a biodegradation rate of approximately 70% without passing the 10 -day window was reached.
