Conclusions:
Boiling point of DOTG can not be determinated since the product is decomposed at T > 195°C
Executive summary:

A study was performed in to investigate the boiling point of the test substance DOTG (1,3 - di-o-tolylguanidine) and was conducted according to OECD Test Guideline 103.

The boiling point of DOTG can not be determinated since the product is decomposed at T > 195°C

Description of key information

decomposition of DOTG at T > 195°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Temperature of decomposition (state purity):
195 °C

Additional information

According to three QSARs analysis and based on the chemical structure, the boiling point of DOTG (1,3 -di-o-tolylguanidine) will be in the range in the range 297 -402°C. these values are calculated without taking into account any decomposition.

Nevertheless, the product is not stable and according to two studies made with OECD 103, the product is decomposed at T > 195°C.
