Description of key information

The boiling range of hydrocarbons, C7-C8, cyclics is 93 to 140 °C.

Additional information

Due to their structure and composition, UVCB's will not have a boiling point but a distillation range. Distillation range is measured at atmospheric pressure using ISO 3405 method. A range of 93 to 140 °C covers all possible grades within this substance description if measured with the agreed method. In a study by Total Fluides (2010) a distillation range of 100 - 103 °C at an atmospheric pressure of 100 kPa was determined for the test substance, hydrocarbons, C7-C8, cyclics, demonstrating that measured values fall within these borderline values. Extrapolated data by Chevron Phillips Chemicals Company LP (2010) showing a range of 123 - 130 °C support this.
