Description of key information

The boiling point of hex-3-yne-2,5-diol is 231.8 °C at 1013.25 hPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
231.8 °C

Additional information

A GLP study was conducted. The study in accordance with the OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals 104: "Vapour pressure" by dynamic method determined the vapour pressure. The normal boiling point was obtained from the vapour pressure curve to be 231.8 °C at 1013.25 hPa.

This was supported by a non-GLP study which determined the boiling point also to be 231.8 °C at 1013.25 hPa (760 Torr).
