Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A theoretical assessment of the oxidising properties of substance 7a-ethyldihydro-1H,3H,5H-oxazolo[3,4-c]-oxazole was carried out by analysing the chemical structure of the component.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Analysis of the chemical structure shows that it will not possess oxidising properties and will not give rise to highly exothermic reactions when in contact with other substances, particularly flammable ones, in the manner in which recognised oxidising substances do. On the basis of this assessment, the substance is not an oxidiser. An experimental determination of the oxidising properties of the substance is therefore considered unnecessary and has not been carried out.

Justification for classification or non-classification

On the basis of this theoretical assessment confirming the absence of structural alerts, testing is not necessary and the substance is not considered to be an oxidiser.
