Endpoint:
relative density
Type of information:
read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Justification for type of information:
Read-across based on grouping of substances (category approach). A detailed category justification is included in chapter 13 of this dossier.
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
read-across source
Type of method:
pycnometer method
Type:
relative density
Density:
1.61
Temp.:
20 °C
Conclusions:
Based on the read across data generated from the density test with source substance, the relative density of target test substance was also considered as 1.61 at 20 °C
Executive summary:

Data on density study was not available for the target substance. To fill the data gaps, read across approach is adapted using similar substance. Read-across is claimed basis of structural relationship of the target and the source chemicals. Read across substance have been investigated for reproduction/developmental toxicity.

Relative density was determined by means of a pycnometer as per recommendations of OECD 109. Density was calculated from the difference in weight between the full and empty pycnometer and its volume.

Based on the read across data generated from the density test with source substance, the relative density of target test substance was also considered as 1.61 at 20 °.

Description of key information

Relative density of test substance was 1.61 at 20 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.61

Additional information

Relative density was determined by means of a pycnometer as per recommendations of OECD 109. Density was calculated from the difference in weight between the full and empty pycnometer and its volume. Based on the study results, relative density of test substance was 1.61 at 20 °C
