Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
toxicity to soil microorganisms
Data waiving:
exposure considerations
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, Section 9.4; effects on terrestrial organism testing shall be proposed if direct or indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. In the absence of toxicity data for soil organisms, the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM) may be applied to assess the hazard to soil organisms.
EPM PNECs have been calculated for use in the chemical safety assessment. Deterministic risk characterisation was conducted and RCR values of < 1 obtained for the local and regional soil compartment, indicating no further concern for this compartment. The chemical safety assessment does not indicate the need to further investigate and therefore, it is concluded that a short-term toxicity study on soil microorganisms is not required.
