In accordance with Annex IX of REACH, Section 9.4, Column 2, "Studies on the effects on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. In the absence of toxicity data for soil organisms, the equilibrium partitioning method may be applied to assess the hazard to soil organisms".

Equilibrium partitioning theory was used to estimate the soil PNEC and risk characterisation for soil organisms was conducted as part of the environmental risk assessment for each relevant identified use. For further details, refer to Sections on PNEC derivation, Exposure Assessment and Risk Characterisation.
