Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Log Koc = < 1.25 - >5.63 (OECD 121); R.E. Butler, D.F. White ( 2010)

Log Koc = 0.4 - 9.2 (KOCWIN); Walker ( 2014)

Additional information

A weight of evidence approach was used to define the adsorption/desorption properties of the substance. Using multiple unreliable studies, a consistent trend is seen in the data where the log Koc ranges from < 0.3 to > 6.5. Due to the cationic nature of the surface-active constituents of this substance and low water solubility, a Koc value = 10,000 resulting in maximum adsorption onto solids has been used for chemical safety assessment. This will result in the modelled environmental fate to be consistent with expectations based on the physicochemical properties of the substance.

No further studies on transport and distribution are required under Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH).
