Endpoint:
toxicity to terrestrial plants: short-term
Data waiving:
exposure considerations
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with section 9.4 of Column 2 of Annex IX, studies on the effects on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. This substance is neither manufactured nor imported in the EU. Consequently direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely and the exposure and emissions to the environment are considered to be negligible. Therefore, it is considered justified to omit the short-term toxicity study under section 9.4.3 of column 1 of Annex IX.

Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to plants

In accordance with section 9.4 of Column 2 of Annex IX, studies on the effects on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. This substance is neither manufactured nor imported in the EU. Consequently direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely and the exposure and emissions to the environment are considered to be negligible. Therefore, it is considered justified to omit the short-term toxicity study under section 9.4.3 of column 1 of Annex IX.
