Oral: LD50: > 5000 mg/kg for rat (limit test).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Acute toxicity: via oral route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
LD50
Value:
5 000 mg/kg bw

Additional information

Assessment based on a single, critical, study for the end-point.

20% mortality occurred following administration of a single oral dose to the rat at a level of 5000 mg/kg.

It is concluded that the LD50 (the dose causing 50% mortality) is greater than 5000 mg/kg.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification with regard to acute oral toxicity is not justified based on the observed mortality.
