Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The acute aquatic toxicity of a structurally similar substance suitable for read across was evaluated using rainbow trout and was conducted in accordance with OECD 203. The 96 h LL (Lethal Loading Rate) 50 value of the substance was determined to be 4.4 mg/l. The No Observed Effect Loading rate was 3.2 mg/l (WAF).

Then acute toxicity was also evaluated inDaphnia(OECD 202). The 48-Hour EL50 was determined to be 75 mg/L nominal loading rate and the No Observed Effect Loading rate was 32 mg/l (nominal).

The acute toxicity was also evaluated in freshwater algae in accordance with OECD Guideline 201. Exposure ofScenedesmus subspicatusto the test material gave a 72 h EbL50 (effective loading rate that causes 50% reduction inalgalcell biomass) value of 240 mg/L loading rate WAF and 0-72 h ErL50 (effective loading rate that causes 50% reduction inalgalgrowth rate) value of 410 mg/L loading rate WAF. The No Observed Effect Loading rate was 220 mg/L loading rate WAF.

Long term ecotoxicological data are available on a surrogate ZDDP substance for invertebrates and algae. A 21 day reproduction test in Daphnia magna was conducted following OECD Guideline 211. Results from this study show that the NOEC for reproduction was 0.4 mg/L nominal (0.262 measured), and the NOEC for daphnid length and weight was 0.8 mg/L nominal.
