Description of key information
The subtance is flammable upon ignition but not classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
According to the UN GHS the substance is classified as a flammable liquid Category 4 (flash point >= 60 °C and <= 93 °C).
The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases in contact with water.
The substance is not a self-heating substance or mixture.

The study does not need to be conducted as the flammability derived from flash point (and boilling point)
The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as pyrophoric as the substance is known to be stable in contact with air at room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days) and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied.
The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as a substance which in contact with water emit flammable gases as the experience in production or handling shows that the substance does not react with water, e.g. the substance is manufactured with water or washed with water.
The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as self-heating as the substance is a liquid.
Justification for classification or non-classification
In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.1, Section 2.2, Section 2.3, Section 2.7, Section 2.9, Section 2.10 Section 2.11, Section 2.12 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as readily combustible solid in class 4 Division 4.1, self-heating substance in Class 4 Division 4.2, substances which in contact with water emit flammable gases in Class 4 Division 4.3, pyrophoric liquid, pyrophoric solid in class 4 Division 4.2, flammable gases in class 2 or as aerosol in class 2.
The following classification criteria are met:
no Catagory of EU Directive 67/548/EEC: flash point > 55 °C;
no Category of EU CLP: flash point > 60 °C
Category 4 (flammable liquids and vapour) of UN GHS: flash point >= 60 °C and <= 93 °C
