Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The Adsorption Coefficient (Koc) of the Test Article at a temperature of 21 degrees centigrade and with a retention time of 6.8 minutes was determined to be 2.23.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
2.23

Additional information

The study was conducted in accordance to OECD guideline 121 and GLP. The analytical procedure involved the preparation of a 10 mg/L Test Article solution in 55:45 Methanol:Water then analysis by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet

(UV) detection at 210 nm. The capacity factor (k) defined as the relative difference between retention time of the column dead volume, is calculated for each compound, with the dead volume determined by the analysis of non-retained compound (in this case, urea). Log Koc is plotted against log k and the Koc of the Test Article is calculated through back-calculation using the retention time of the Test Article peak.

The acceptance criteria of the Study Plan were met, deeming the results acceptable. From the data presented, the Adsorption Coefficient (Koc) of the Test Article at a temperature of 21 degrees centigrade and with a retention time of 6.8 minutes was determined to be 2.23.
