Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A study was conducted (BASF AG, PK8991) according to OECD TG 109 to determine the density of the test item. Using the pycnometer method two independent determinations at 20 °C and 50 °C were conducted. The density at 20 °C was determined to be 0.8003 g/mL and at 50 °C 0.7711 g/mL respectively. In addition the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics 88th Edition reports the density of the test item to be 0.8188 at 20 °C and the REAXYS Database (Lanum 1969) reports the density of the test item to be 0.7991 g/mL at 20 °C using water at 4 °C as reference temperature. All values are in the same range. The experimental determined value from the guideline study was regarded as most reliable as the purity of the test item was given and was therefore chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment.
