Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study is available investigating the effects of Bis(2,8,9-Trioxa-5-aza-1-silabicyclo(3.3.3)undecane-1-propane-)disulfide (CAS 883794-93-2) to freshwater algae. The study was performed according to OECD 201 (GLP) with Desmodesmus subspicatus as test organism. Nominal test concentrations up to 100 mg/L were tested. Inhibition of growth rate was not observed in this study. Thus, the EC50 (72 h) was derived as > 100 mg/L and the NOEC (72 h) as ≥ 100 mg/L. Since the test substance is susceptible to hydrolysis in water, the result mainly reflects the effects of the hydrolysis products rather than the parent substance.
