Additional information

The structural analog, 2,3-epoxypropyl neodecanoate produced little or no evidence of irritation in rat acute dermal and rabbit eye irritation studies. Therefore, it is anticipated that Neononanoic acid glycidyl ester will not be an eye or skin irritant.

Justification for selection of skin irritation / corrosion endpoint:
2,3-Epoxypropyl neodecanoate produced little evidence of dermal irritation in a rat acute dermal O.E.C.D. test guideline 402 study conducted at the Limit dose of 2000 mg/kg of body weight.

Justification for selection of eye irritation endpoint:
As per REACH Annex VIII.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Data for the structural analog demostrated little or no potential for eye or skin irritation. No Classification and Labeling required for these endpoints.
