58.1 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
19.73 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity of 1,2-dimethylimidazole to green algae was investigated in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 201 (BASF SE, 2013, 60E0074/12X207). In this study, the EC10 was determined to be 19.73 mg/L and the EC50 value was determined to be 58.1 mg/L related to the growth rate of Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata (analytically verified values). Hence, the test substance is considered to be harmful to aquatic algae.
