Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Oxooil LS9 is not bioaccumulative (calculated BCF 1220 l/kg), has a low acute oral toxicity in rats (LD50 > 2,000 mg/kg) and is not classified for repeated dose toxicity (oral NOAEL of 100 mg/kg/day). Although a fugacity model (Mackay level III model) demonstrated that the components will predominantly partition to water or volatilise into air to significant amounts (>90% partition to air and water; only <10% partition to sediment and soil) but results of the estimated photodegradation of the constituents of Oxooel LS9 were estimated by QSAR (EpiSuite v4.11, US EPA, 2012; AOP v1.92). According to the results os QSAR estimations, the half life of constituents for hydroxyl radical reaction ranged from 1.14 h to 15.49 h and For olefins half-life of reaction with ozone ranged from 13.75 min to 22.92 h. Therefore, despite of the air being compartment of concern, the substance will not be stable for a long time in the air and is expected to not cause avian toxicity. Thence, toxicity to birds is not expected and for reasons of animal welfare, no avian toxicity study is performed.
