Description of key information
The substance is a member of the group rosin and rosin salts. Tests for carcinogenicity have been conducted on rosin, and it was found negative. There is no indication of potential carcinogenicity in mutagenicity and repeated dose toxicity studies with the test substance. On animal welfare grounds any decisions concerning carcinogenicity testing should be taken for the group as a whole.
