Description of key information

FAT 93450 has been tested for toxicity potential by exposing to fish, daphnia and Lemna gibba, representing the three trophic levels of aquatic ecosystem. The 96 h LC50 for zebra fish (Danio rerio) was 650 mg/L (value of interpolation). The EC50 and EC100 were both > 100 mg/L (i.e. ca. > 96 mg a.i./L) after 48h exposure to Daphnids. The effect of FAT9340/Z was evaluated in a growth inhibition test using Lemna gibba according to OECD guideline 221. Because of limited water solubility, WAF method was designed as semi-static study with daily renewal substance solutions. The actual EC50, NOEC and LOEC values for growth rate of dry weight were 2.97 (95% CL: 2.58-3.52) and 0.2932 mg/L and 0.9382, respectively. The 3 h IC20 and IC50 values of the test substance were determined to be >1000 mg/L (i.e. 960 mg a.i./L) in the activated sludge respiration inhibition test according to OECD guideline 209.
