Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information):
positive with metabolic activation
negative without metabolic activation

Under the test conditions, 1,5-Dichloro-2-(1-methylethoxy)-4-nitrobenzene induced a strong mutagenic activity in the bacterial strains S. typhimurium TA98 and TA100 with metabolic activation only.
Executive summary:

In a reverse gene mutation assay in bacteria performed in compliance with the GLP, Salmonella typhimurium TA98 and TA100 were exposed to 1,5-Dichloro-2-(1-methylethoxy)-4-nitrobenzene (named as2,4-dichloro 5-isopropoxy nitrobenzene(DINB)) in the report). A strong mutagenic activity in both strains was observed with metabolic activation only.
