Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2011 - 2012
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
14 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat. (total fraction)
Incubation duration:
5 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6.3
Details on results:
The test item is not stable under the chosen conditions (30°C}. Therefore, conditions with shorter agitating times and conditioning times directly at 20oc were chosen.

Reduced timescale:
Approximately 2.5 g of test item and 16 ml of water were stirred at 20°C for 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 24 hours. Afterwards the mixtures were conditioned without stirring at 20.0°C.

The water solubility was calculated using results from samples 1hrs to 5 hrs.

Description of key information

14 g/L at 20°C, pH 6.3

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
14 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The determination was carried out by flask method according to OECD Guideline 105.

The test item is not stable with the equilibration temperature at 30°C for 24 hours therefore the solubility has been determined by the equilibration at 20°C. The solubility of 14 g/L has been calculated using the results of the samples from 1 to 5 hours.
