Description of key information

Screening tests for biodegradation according to OECD 301 B are available. One tests the test item reached the pass level of > 60% CO2 fulfilling the 10d-window . The test item is considered to be readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Two screening tests for biodegradation are available.

In the first test (BPCN, 2009) the test item was tested for ready biodegradability in the CO2 evolution test according to OECD 301 B. The test item showed a degradation rate of 86.8 % within 28 days including the 10d-window. The substance is considered to be readily biodegradable .

In the second test (Clariant, 20089) the test item was tested for ready biodegradability in the CO2 evolution test according to OECD 301 B. The test item showed a degradation rate of 59-65 % within 28 days including the 10d-window. The substance is considered to be biodegradable.

Based on the test results the test item is considered to be readily biodegradable.
