Description of key information

The bioaccumulation test on fish does not need to be performed as the substance has a low logKow (= 2.2) and it is gaseous at room temperature. The BCF in aquatic organisms was estimated using the equation from EUSES (Veith relationship: log BCF = 0.85·log Kow - 0.70 (applicable for substances with log Kow ≤6). Based on the substance's log Kow of 2.2, this results in an estimated BCF for fish of 14.8 L/kg w.w. This predicted value is used in the assessment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
14.8 L/kg ww
