Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Executive summary:

According to Danish QSAR using multicase model estimated that 2-[(3-nitrophenyl)sulphonyl]ethanol is sensatising to skin. But the

experimental study of the read across substance indicated that the substance will be not irritating to the animals, so we can consider the target substance to be a mild irritant. Since the positive value is a predicted value so the same compeltely cannot be used for classification when a structually analog subtance indicates that the same is not classified. Thus, it has been categories in the mild irritant category but cannot be considered for the classification as per the EU regulation of C&L (as a category of mild irritation does not exist in the regulation).
