Before the start of the study, the apparatus was checked with tetrahydrofuran and n-hexane. The deviations from the literature values (215 °C (tetrahydrofuran) and 240 °C (n-hexane)) based on the Material Safety Data Sheet and were less than 10 °C. The auto-ignition temperature of Incorez 397 was determined to be 239 °C.
