The test item is a clear colourless fluid at room temperature.

To determine the melting behaviour (three independent single measurements), the test item was measured by DSC between -90 °C and 50 °C with a heating / cooling rate of ±10 K/min in 2 cycles. For the measurement a capsulated crucible, typical for melting point measurements of fluid samples, was used. The test item shows no melting of crystalline subcomponents in the 1st and 2nd heating run up to 50 °C (at ambient temperature the sample is a fluid) according to the definition in the EEC-directive 92/69/EEC, method A.1. The cooling run shows no crystallization. The test item shows a glass transition temperature (amorphous components) at -56 °C in the 1st heating run (from triple determination).
