Description of key information

The available studies (Siegel, 1962 and 1963) indicate some toxicity to plants. No additional information is necessary in view of the low absorptive and bioaccumulative potential of the test substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The data are insufficient to allow conclusions. In addition doses cannot be expressed as amount applied to soil, due to lack of information.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the short term toxicity to plants study does not need to be conducted as direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. The substance shows a low adsorptive (log Koc = 2.45) or bioaccumulative (log Kow = 2.76) potential. Hence, a relevant distribution into soil and a considerable exposure of terrestrial plants is not expected.
