Executive summary:

According to DIN 51757, this German Industry Norm corresponds to the Council Regulations EC No 440/2008, Guideline Part A – Methods for the Determination of the physical-chemical properties, A.3, “Relative density” (adopted, May 2008) and to the OECD guideline for testing of chemicals No: 109 “Density of Liquids and Solids“ (adopted, July 1995). The relative density of the test item was determined by means of an oscillating density meter. The measured frequency depended on the mass of the introduced liquid (at constant volume). The calculation of the density based on the frequency requires calibration by two substances with known densities (air and water). Verification of the calibration was performed with toluene. The relative density of the test substance is 1.249 (d= 1.249 g/ml measured at 20 °C).
