In accordance with column 1 of REACH Annex IX, a study does not need to be conducted as the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical.

Additional information

All MDI isomers and forms are highly unstable in dimethylsulhpoxide solvent, water content of the DMSO increasing breakdown. The corresponding diamine is identified as one of the breakdown products. MDI is more stable in ethyleneglycoldimethylether as solvent . It is also well known that Isocyanates react rapidly with protic solvents like alcohols, whereas a higher stability in nonprotic solvents is expected.
