First-aid measures

General advice:       

Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing Do not breathe vapors or spray mist Immediately remove substance contaminated clothes and wash affected skin areas with soap and water.

Eye contact:

Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician. Keep eye wide open while rinsing.

Skin contact:

Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Ingestion:

Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. Clean mouth with water and afterwards drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician immediately.

Inhalation:

Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Call a physician immediately.

Protection of First-aiders

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Notes to physician:

Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media:

Use:. Water spray. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Foam. Dry chemical.

Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons:

Do NOT use water jet.

Specific Hazards Arising from the Chemical:

Causes severe burns. In the event of fire, cool tanks with water spray.

Protective Equipment and Precautions for Firefighters:

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Corrosive hazard. Wear protective gloves/clothing and eye/face protection. In the event of fire, wear self contained breathing apparatus.

Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes. Do not breathe vapors or spray mist. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.

Environmental precautions:

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Prevent product from entering drains. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:

Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).

Handling:

Do not breathe vapours or spray mist. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not ingest. Wear personal protective equipment. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Storage:

Keep tightly closed in a dry and cool place. Keep in properly labelled containers. stainless steel. Polyethylene containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure limits:

We are not aware of any national exposure limit

Engineering Measures:

Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. To protect against splashes from pouring. Avoid formation of aerosol.

Eye Protection :

Tightly fitting safety goggles. If splashes are likely to occur, wear:. Face-shield.

Skin Protection :

Chemical resistant apron. Impervious clothing. Long sleeved clothing. Rubber gloves. Nitrile rubber. Neoprene gloves.

Hand Protection :

Rubber gloves. Nitrile rubber. Neoprene gloves.

Respiratory protection:

In case of mist, spray or aerosol exposure wear suitable personal respiratory protection and protective suit.

Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location
