Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Supporting information:

BCFs of relevant substances (estimated using BCBAF v3.01) [L/kg wet-wt]

  • 1st main constituent (>10%): 2-[(3-(pentadeca-8,11,14-trien-1-yl)phenoxy)methyl]oxirane: 642

  • 2nd main constituent (>10%): 2-[(3-(pentadeca-8,11-dien-1-yl)phenoxy)methyl]oxirane: 550

  • 3rd main constituent (>10%): 2-[(3-(pentadec-8-en-1-yl)phenoxy)methyl]oxirane: 432

  • Minor constituent (max. 0.5%):1-chloro-3-(3-pentadecylphenoxy)propan-2-ol: 157

The predictions indicate that the relevant substances of the UVCB substances do not meet the B criteria:

range of predicted BCFs: 157-642 L/kg wet-wt.

Based on the data of a GPC analysis, it is expected that not only the three main constituents, representing the major part of the UVCB substance, but also the remaining 30 % of the composition, containing only high molecular weight constituents/oligomers (dimers, trimers and tetramers) and the relevant minor constituent (> 0.1 %), do not fulfil the B criteria (BCF >2000; log BCF >3.3) and vB criteria (BCF >5000; log BCF >3.7).
