Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

- Non flammable upon ignition

- No pyrophoric properties

- Does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

The flammability was performed according to UN Test N.1

- Upon ignition the test substance melted and could not be ignited.

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Self classification according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on CLP:

- Upon ignition the test substance melted and could not be ignited.

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

It can be concluded that the substance should not be classified as a flammable material.

Further justification:

- The substance does not need to be classified as self-reactive substance as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.

- The substance does not need to be classified as self-heating substance as the preliminary result showed no exothermal effects up to 400°C.
