Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In the key study (Butler, 2013), the density of the test material was investigated in a GLP study which was conducted in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 109 and EU Method A.3 using a gas comparison pycnometer.

Aliquots of test material were weighed into the sample cell and placed into the pycnometer. Triplicate pressure readings were taken after pressurising the reference cell of known volume and then switching to the sample cell.

Under the conditions of this study, the density of the test material was determined to be 1230 kg/m³ and the relative density was determined to be 1.23 at 20.9 ± 0.5 °C.
