Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The study on acute toxicity of the substance to aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna) was performed under static conditions and the 48 hour-EL50 was determined to >100 mg/L (Neuhahn, 2011b).

Additional information

The daphnia were exposed to a range of concentrations, nominally 25, 50 and 100 mg/L of the substance dissolved in dilution water. Observations were made on the swimming ability and the immobilisation rate, respectively, after 24 and 48 hours of exposure.

After 48 hours of exposure an EL50 of > 100 mg/L (nominal) was determined.

The results are expressed in terms of Effective Loadings (EL). As the test item is a UVCB substance and no information about the correlation between molecular weight and the structural formula of the test item are available, Water Accommodated Fractions (WAF) were used to test effects at different effective loadings and no specific analysis was performed. With the sponsor’s agreement, the content of the test item during the exposure period was verified by DOC determination.
