Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The mean value of 4 measurements for relative density was d(20,4,S) = 1.19.

Method: OECD TG 109.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.19

Additional information

The solid sample was accurately weighed into a 10 mL vial and by displacement of the solvent (water), its equivalent volume was determined. Finally, the density of the sample was calculated.

Remarks:

-    Water was chosen as displacement solvent although the substance is not completely insoluble in water. The influence in the results is considered negligible.

-    A pycnometer could not be filled with the test item due to the narrow bottleneck of the pycnometer and the high viscosity of the test item. For this reason, 10 mL vials were used instead of pycnometers.

-    The determined density has to be regarded as an approximate value.
